- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 3 large eggs
- Zest and juice of 2 fresh oranges
- ½ cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Incorporate orange zest and juice into the mixture.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternating with milk until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
- Make sure the butter is at room temperature for easier creaming.
- You can add a glaze on top of the cake for extra sweetness.
