Description

A simple homemade playdough recipe that is easy to make and fun for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • ½ cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the salt and the warm water until mostly dissolved.
  2. Add in the flour and knead until it forms a playdough-like consistency. If it is still sticky, add a little more flour.
  3. Roll out into the shape of your choice; a heart is recommended.
  4. Using a toothpick, add the year and names to the plaque.
  5. Place the dough on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
  6. Press little feet into the dough to make prints, or use hands or paws if desired.
  7. If the prints do not come out clear, roll up the dough and redo it.
  8. Bake at 200°F for approximately 2 ½ hours or until the dough has hardened.
  9. Once cooled completely, paint the plaque the color of your choice.
