This easy sugar cookie glaze is perfect for decorating your favorite cookies.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • optional food coloring (gel-based preferred)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and corn syrup until smooth.
  2. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Adjust consistency as needed with small amounts of milk or powdered sugar.
  4. Divide glaze and add food coloring if desired.
  5. Use a piping bag, spoon, or squeeze bottle to glaze cooled sugar cookies.
  6. Let cookies dry at room temperature for 4–6 hours until glaze is fully set.

Notes

  • For a thicker glaze, add more powdered sugar.
  • For a thinner glaze, add more milk.
  • Gel-based food coloring works best for vibrant colors.
