Description

This slow cooker shredded chicken recipe is easy and versatile, perfect for a variety of dishes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or cubed butter)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/21 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in crockpot and pour broth over the top.
  2. Brush the chicken with olive oil or add cubed butter on top of the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  5. Shred and serve hot as a simple side dish or use it in other recipes calling for shredded chicken.

Notes

  • Paprika is a great addition but it will increase the carb count per serving.
