- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the milk until combined.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in blueberries.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
- This cake can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
