Description

A comforting and creamy dish featuring cheese tortellini and Italian sausage, perfect for a cozy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 pound Italian sausage (or chicken/turkey sausage)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the crockpot. Add cheese tortellini, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and spinach if using. Stir gently.
  4. Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  5. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and allow it to melt.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
