- 4–5 large ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 8 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- as needed caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F for a classic golden crust.
- Mash ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Mix in brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold dry ingredients into banana mixture, careful not to overmix.
- Pour batter into a greased baking dish and bake for about 30 minutes.
- Check with a toothpick for doneness and let cool before serving.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired before serving.
