A refreshing mint lemonade perfect for hot days!
Ingredients

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 20 mint leaves
- 4 cups sparkling water
- 1 tsp green food coloring (optional)
- 2 cups ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan combine sugar and water and heat over medium until sugar fully dissolves.
- Remove the simple syrup from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
- In a large pitcher muddle mint leaves with lemon and lime juices to release their flavors.
- Add the cooled syrup to the pitcher and stir until well combined.
- Pour in the sparkling water and add ice cubes, then stir gently to maintain the fizz.
- If desired, add green food coloring and mix until the lemonade turns a bright green.
Notes
- This lemonade can be served immediately or stored in the refrigerator for later.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
