Description
A refreshing mango iced tea made with brewed black tea and fresh mango.
Ingredients

- 2 black tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose leaf tea)
- 4 cups water, divided
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons honey (or sugar, to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mango slices or mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and pour it into a large pitcher.
- Add the tea bags and let them steep for about 10 minutes, then remove the tea bags and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine the diced mango and the remaining 2 cups of water.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, mashing the mango to create a thick, fruity pulp.
- Strain the mango liquid into the pitcher with the brewed tea.
- Stir in the honey until fully dissolved and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate until chilled, then serve over ice.
- Garnish with fresh mango slices or mint leaves if desired and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- This tea can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
