- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 2 (3 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups whipped topping (or freshly whipped cream)
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter with water over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and stir in flour until a smooth dough forms.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the mixture becomes glossy and smooth.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25–30 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Let cool completely.
- In a bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then fold into the pudding mixture until creamy.
- Spread the filling evenly over the cooled crust.
- Top with whipped cream, smoothing it out evenly.
- Drizzle generously with chocolate syrup and lightly dust with powdered sugar.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This dessert is best served chilled.
- You can substitute any flavor of pudding mix for a different taste.
